Exercise 1: Layout and Format Parts of MS Word
Title bar - this displays the document name followed by a program name. Menu bar - this contains a list of options to manage and customize documents. Status bar - this displays the position of the insertion point and working mode buttons. View buttons - these change the layout view of the document to normal, web layout, print layout, and outline view. Vertical ruler - is often used to adjust the Top and Bottom margins of a document. Vertical scroll bar - it allows you to scroll through the document top to bottom. Quick access toolbar- b y default the Quick Access Toolbar displays the Save, Undo, and Repeat buttons and is used for easy access to frequently used commands. Ribbon - an area across the top of the screen that makes almost all the capabilities of Word available in a single area. Zoom slide - magnifies or reduces the contents in the document window.
